World Down Syndrome Day - 21st March

World Down Syndrome Day is marked on 21st March every year. The 21st day of the 3rd month signifies the uniqueness of the triplication of the 21st chromosome which causes Down Syndrome.

To help advocate for the rights, inclusion and well-being of people with Down Syndrome, people all over the world are invited to join the ‘Lots of Socks’ campaign by wearing mismatched socks on 21st March.
